Harry Potter - Universal Studios Instax

I went to Universal Studio Hollywood earlier this week.... considering I've gone before, really the most interesting part was the new Harry Potter stuff. It's weird because I live in the area around Universal and bike/walk a lot in the area and so I see all these things appear up on this giant hill near me (new Universal attractions), but the Harry Potter stuff is definitely placed in such a way that it's right at the center of your view from a variety of streets in the surrounding area (including from the Warner Brother's Studios in nearby Burbank...) Some days it does look rather surreal when there's fog or clouds....Although the buildings were cool to look at, my friend and I lamented that it feels like a fun place to explore with very limited options for exploring. Ho hum.

All of these were shot with the Instax Neo-Classic instant film camera.

the fake snow weirded me out so much. It freezes sometimes in the area, butttt I can't say I've ever seen something like this. So it's weird to be walking around in 80 degree temps in October seeing this....

Secrets

I've been having many really weird days... or is it just me and my perception of them? I have no idea at some moments, but I'm pretty sure some have been weird. I know I cannot take an abundance of days like today. At least in general I've been feeling way more calm.

So instead, some instax photos from a walk I took last week....

Wednesday Commute

Thing have been super busy for me, and honestly, will continue to be busy for a little while! Wednesday was especially a little crazy including finally getting a Burning Man ticket (and then quickly having everything else fall into place including EA pass and a ride... I also have a spot in center camp again this year for photos!) Posts will be spotty and random, which I wish wasn't the case, but hey, sometimes life gets a little busy!

I shot these photos with my instax Neo Classic while walking to work in various places on Wednesday...

Pasadena Chalk Festival 2016 - Instants

Today was a super hot day and somewhat weird and ridiculous. I both went to work and worked from home for the first time because the a/c wasn't working (again) and the anticipated high was 109. So I biked a lot this morning in the heat, partially because I went into Pasadena early to take a look at some of the art from the Chalk Festival this past weekend as well. I saw every single thing I thought I would - Prince & David Bowie being some of the multiple-appearance celebrities, multiple references to Orlando shootings, Finding Dory themed (as well as unfinished Finding Dory themed) & Frida...

I didn't have much time to look at the drawings, but I tried to make the most of it! These are just the instants shot with my Fuji Instax Neo Classic!

FLOWERS.

I don't know what happened this evening, but it seemed to devolve into a mess of flowers... Luckily I had my Instax Neo-Classic on hand to document the colorful mess

magical light and colors. The secret is the mundane location.

Cbviously the camera knew the bougainvillea was more important to keep in focus!

Why of course I ended up at the flower at Michael's! How would you have guessed? And I was drawn to this nice arraignment of colors...
