Huntington Instants - 3/23/17
Another wonderful trip to Huntington Gardens this past week! I accidentally left my small instax camera in Chicago earlier in the week, so this time I was forced to use the Instax Wide instead. Again, I really like the camera, it's just such a monster to carry!!! I did get some pretty nice photos though, soo....

Glowing - Expired Film Day 2017
I've had an Instax Wide camera for about a year and a half. Although I often wanted to take it places, I admit the gigantic size combined with the bulky film ended up deterring me and in that time, I took it out once and shot 3 photos. Yesterday I decided it was a good day to take it out, so I did and I fell in love. The colors worked perfectly with the light and sky and things were glowing and crazy.
Because I ignored this camera for so long, I already had expired film (despite never finishing a single pack before yesterday!), so I used that as an excuse to shoot with it today for Expired Film Day! Although the film wasn't that expired and so it didn't do anything too crazy, I still love some of the photos I shot, so I consider it to be a success. It got me to use something I had been holding onto for who knows what special occasion. That occasion is Now! Today!
I think this might be my favorite from today. These trees kill me with the blue sky. The colors are really this vibrant and the contrast this nice. I didn't manipulate this post scan.

Zenit - first shots
Hmm.. I think it was back in December during one of my trips to Chicago when we went to the thrift store where I was told of mythical cameras... and I found a camera! I ended up with an old 1980's Russian camera called the Zenit ET. Kinda heavy with lots of metal, this is one of the more original "lomo" cameras (vs. the lomography brand cameras made today), which I was excited to get my hands on.
In January I finally sat down and figured out how to use it and took it out around my neighborhood to try it out! Finally finished off the roll this past week at Huntington Gardens, so I finally get to see the results! Something weird happend in the middle of the roll, but it recovered and finished off fine. Will need to keep an eye on that, but overall, I'm pretty happy & look forward to using this camera!
