With a name like "Burning Man", there's no surprise that there's a great deal of fire at Burning Man. Although we don't always interact with flames often in daily modern life, it still holds countless benefits & is behind many part of our life and is both natural, critical to certain environments and biological cycles and very human. With the discovery of control of fire came many advances in human culture as options of cooking food and providing additional warmth and new ways of manipulating our environments were more easily accessible. At the same time, it's always been something that must be respected because with it's benefits comes serious physical risks. The fire at Burning Man is often more primal, directly providing warmth & food, supporting stunning art, bringing unmistakable light in an environment without electrical systems and allowing people to release pent up energy both in a physical and mental sense.
